The New Zealand Qualifications Authority co-ordinates qualifications in education and training, maintains national standards, ensures recognition of overseas qualifications and administers national secondary and tertiary examinations. In addition to the functions of the Classification Office, the site provides information on censorship and the law relating to it in New Zealand. The Plant Variety Rights Office administers the Plant Variety Rights Act 1987 under which grants of plant variety rights may be issued to breeders for their new plant varieties.
