Land Transport NZ is a member of the Australian New Car Assessment Programme (ANCAP). ANCAP tests judge the protection provided to front-seat occupants wearing safety belts in serious head-on and side-impact crashes. Results of crash tests are shown by make and model or by vehicle type. Vehicles are tested using crash test dummies. Includes information about Land Transport NZ and their publications.

The Brass Monkey Motorcycle Rally is held over Queens Birthday weekend at Oturehua. The central Otago site is as close as the organisers could get to Ophir, which holds the record for both cold and heat for New Zealand. It can get as cold as Minus 10°C to Minus 20°C. Cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey, hence the name. This web site includes the Rally News, rally overview, location map, photo gallery, links and sponsors, and descriptions of past rallies.
