Archaeology in Oceania includes articles and research reports in prehistoric and historical archaeology, modern material culture and human biology of ancient and modern human populations. Its primary geographical focus is Australia, the islands of the Pacific Ocean and lands of the western Pacific rim. Site provides contents pages for the current and one recent issue.

An international organization dedicated to comparative studies of Pacific topics. ASAO holds annual meetings with a special format designed to facilitate discussion and develop topics for publication.

- Hōkūle`a: the voyage to Rapa Nui Hōkūle`a : Hawaii's first double-hulled canoe sails again / by Susan Kreifels
The Hōkūle`a, Hawaii's first traditional voyaging canoe and symbol of native Hawaiian resurgence, sets sail for Rapa Nui (Easter Island). This last sail of the century will complete the triangle of ancient migration routes the Hawaiians have retraced through the Pacific. The page, part of the Honolulu star-bulletin web site, describes and then illustrates the way the Hōkūle`a and crew attempts to recreate the voyages of the first Polynesians. - New Zealand & the Pacific in global context : peoples, identities, and environments
Research centre at the Dept of History, University of Otago, brings together scholars in several disciplines and projects. The research spans the full duration of human settlement and human achievement in the Southern Pacific. Some 30 academic staff and 100 research students are involved. The Hocken Library is affiliated to the theme.

- People and culture in Oceania : official journal of the Society
People and Culture in Oceania is the official journal of the Japanese Society for Oceanic Studies. It publishes original research and communication of scientific interest, in the fields of anthropology, linguistics, prehistory and archaeology, human ecology, geography, etc. The geographical regions covered are Polynesia, Melanesia, Micronesia, Australia, and Island Southeast Asia, although research on adjacent areas is also accepted when the theme is relevant. The site provides contents pages of each issue, as well as abstracts of articles from v. 12 (1996) onwards. Information on subscribing to the Journal is also available.
