People and Culture in Oceania is the official journal of the Japanese Society for Oceanic Studies. It publishes original research and communication of scientific interest, in the fields of anthropology, linguistics, prehistory and archaeology, human ecology, geography, etc. The geographical regions covered are Polynesia, Melanesia, Micronesia, Australia, and Island Southeast Asia, although research on adjacent areas is also accepted when the theme is relevant. The shortwave broadcasts of Radio New Zealand International (RNZI) provide news and information services, as well as a wide range of New Zealand programmes, to listeners in the South Pacific and beyond. News is broadcast in seven Pacific Island languages. The site provides information about Radio New Zealand International, a guide to broadcast frequencies in different areas of the Pacific, a programme guide, and access to real time broadcasts via Audio Net.
